Job summary

Turner Mining Group in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Mainline Excavator Operator for a direct placement role. You will operate a CAT 340 to dig deep mainlines with precision, set trench boxes, and protect the crew in open trenches.

This hands-on position requires at least three years of experience on underground utility projects, OSHA 10, and a valid driver's license. You will log daily equipment checks and collaborate with the Team Lead to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on excavator experience on underground utilities.
• Experience trenching to line and grade; setting structures.
• Active OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work over open trenches safely with crew.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAT 340 in mainline trenching to line and grade.
• Set and advance heavy trench boxes and pipes.
• Maintain crew safety and daily equipment logs.
• Coordinate with Team Lead and grade checkers.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and basic maintenance.
