Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or group instruction/assistance to patients daily.
• Complete routine daily check of the van (if driving is required) and report deficiencies to supervisor.
• Accurately monitor and maintain data collection sheets and submit to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Assist with assessment of clients' strengths and needs as necessary.
• Assist with preparation of clients' meals and provide client training as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding revised training objectives as needed.
• Physically maintain the facility in a neat and orderly manner.
• Monitor and document individual behaviors with specific and descriptive terms.
• Encourage individuals to be independent and participate in activities.
• Provide positive assurance regarding benefits of treatment and participation.
• Promote a therapeutic environment through hands-on instruction and guidance.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, professional attitude and address complaints to ensure patient safety.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
