Western Tidewater Community Services Board is hiring Direct Caregivers in Suffolk, VA. You will support individuals in facilities, residential homes, and day programs, assisting with treatment plans and providing a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, experience with developmental disabilities or mental health in residential settings, and a Food Handlers Certification.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with acceptable DMV record.
• Experience with Developmentally Disabled/Mental Health or in a residential setting.
• Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the implementation of consumer treatment plans.
• Caring for, monitoring, evaluating, and maintenance of a safe environment for individuals identified with one or more of the following: Developmental Disabilities, SED, SMI/SA.

Responsibilities and Duties of Direct Support Professional:

• Assisting with the implementation of consumer treatment plans
• Caring for, monitoring, evaluating, and maintenance of a safe environment for individuals identified with one or more of the following:
• Developmental Disabilities (Adult or Child)
• Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) (Children /Adolescents)
• Serious Mental Illness and/or Substance Abuse (SMI/SA).

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School diploma or GED Certificate.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License with an acceptable DMV record.
• Experience with those that are Developmentally Disabled/Mental Health or residential setting.
• Food Handlers Certification.
