Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily one-on-one or group instruction/assistance.
• Perform routine daily vehicle checks when driving (tires, gas gauge, etc.).
• Accurately monitor and maintain data collection sheets and submit to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Assist with assessment of clients' strengths and needs as necessary.
• Assist with preparation of clients' meals and provide client training as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor related needs to revise training objectives.
• Maintain a neat and orderly facility.
• Monitor and document individual behaviors using descriptive terms.
• Encourage individuals to be independent and participate in activities.
• Provide positive assurance regarding benefits of treatment and participation.
• Promote a therapeutic environment that supports learning and skill development.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, professional attitude and address complaints to ensure patient safety.
