Overview

Familiar Roads Home Health Care Agency is hiring compassionate Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to support clients in Scranton and throughout Lackawanna County. If you're dependable, kind-hearted, and passionate about helping others live safely and independently at home, we encourage you to apply.

Base pay range

$13.00/hr - $15.00/hr

Location: Scranton, PA (Lackawanna County) Company: Familiar Roads Home Healthcare

Qualifications (Required)

• Completed Competency Exam or PA-compliant training program per Department of Health (DOH) standards
• Current CPR Certification
• Recent TB Test & Physical Exam (within the past 12 months) — QuantiFERON-TB Gold or equivalent accepted
• Proof of Pennsylvania Residency for the past two (2) years
• Two (2) Valid Professional References
• Clear Criminal Background Check
• Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
• Neat appearance and practices good personal hygiene

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene: bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance
• Perform light housekeeping tasks
• Provide safe mobility support and transfers
• Offer medication reminders (non-clinical)
• Report changes in client condition to supervisor
