Job summary

AbaCares Services LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Care Workers to join our team for in-home support in Philadelphia, PA. You will provide personal care, companionship, homemaking, and respite services to clients in their homes.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring clients’ safety, and following individualized care plans. CNA preferred but not required; driving is a plus as some locations require transportation assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in caregiving/direct care preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and read/write.
• Maturity and ability to handle job demands.
• Sympathetic attitude towards care of the sick and elderly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must pass background screening and obtain clearances.
• CNA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

AbaCares Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to join our team. Our Direct Care Workers provide essential support and services to clients in their homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Services include personal assistance, companionship, homemaking, and respite care.

Location: PHILADELPHIA, PA, 19143

Approved Weekly Hours: 93.14

Schedule

1st aide is 8am-2pm, Monday to Sunday

2nd aide is 2pm-8pm, Monday to Sunday

Preferably female and older person

Can drive/must have a car

Scope: light housekeeping, aide must drive; appointments, pickup medication; has several dr's appt and physical therapies throughout the week, goes to 37/37 market street w/c covers the areas of the hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and care to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with homemaking tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Ensure clients' safety and well-being by monitoring their condition and reporting any changes.
• Follow care plans and service plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate client records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a caregiving or direct care role is preferred.
• Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
• Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
• Sympathetic attitude towards the care of the sick and elderly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
