Job summary

AbaCares Services is seeking compassionate Direct Care Workers to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. You will provide essential in-home support, including personal care, companionship, homemaking, and respite services, ensuring client safety and well-being.

Responsibilities include following care plans, documenting care, and coordinating with healthcare teams. A valid driver’s license is preferred; CNA is helpful but not required. Medical coverage and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or direct care preferred.
• CNA preferred but not required.
• Must pass a background screening and obtain required clearances.

AbaCares Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to join our team. Our Direct Care Workers provide essential support and services to clients in their homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Services include personal assistance, companionship, homemaking, and respite care.

Location:PHILADELPHIA, PA, 19143

Approved Weekly Hours: 93.14

Schedule:

1st aide is 8am–2pm, Monday to Sunday

2nd aide is 2pm–8pm Monday to Sunday

Preferably female and older person

Can drive/must have a car

Scope:

light housekeeping, aide must drive; appointments, pickup medication; has several dr's appt and physical therapies throughout the week, goes to 37/37 market street w/c covers the areas of the hospital

Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal assistance and care to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with homemaking tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a caregiving or direct care role is preferred.
• Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
• Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
• Sympathetic attitude towards the care of the sick and elderly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must pass a background screening and obtain required clearances.
• CNA preferred but not required
