Responsibilities :

• Provides assistance to assigned consumers including, but not limited to the following :
• Assistance with activities of daily living
• Assisting with ambulation, as applicable
• Assistance with nutritional and dietary needs
• Essential household duties
• Provide for safe and sanitary consumer environment
• Utilize basic infection control technique and procedures
• Provide medication reminders as directed by the Service Authorization and / or Care Plan
• Maintain consumer confidentiality
• Encourage consumer control of and promote the independent living philosophy

Requirements :

• Proficiency in the English language is required
• Successful completion of the Direct Care Worker Competency orientation process required
• Current CPR Card required
• Current Health Screening (in accordance with state regulations) required
