Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care currently seeks Direct Care Workers (DCW) to care for clients in the community. BAYADA offers a DCW Training Program to prepare graduates for adult care in Assistive Care State Programs.

Qualifications

• No Direct Care experience required if you complete the Direct Care Worker Training Program provided by BAYADA.
• You must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Perform light housekeeping and home management tasks.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
• Assist with range of motion/exercises and transfers using lifting devices.
• Provide oral feeding and monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Support with ambulation and mobility as needed; assist with medication administration.

Qualifications for Direct Care Workers (DCW):

• If you do not have any Direct Care experience, you would need to Successfully Complete the Direct Care Worker, DCW Training Program, provided by BAYADA - no expense to you.
• You must have reliable transportation

Job Responsibilities for Direct Care Workers, DCW:

• Activities of daily living
• Light housekeeping
• Bathing
• Grooming
• Toileting
• Nail care
• Range of motion / exercises
• Transfers / use of mechanical lifting devices
• Oral feeding
• Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
• Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc.
• Assisting with ambulation
• Medication assistance
