Futures Through Choices Inc. is seeking a compassionate, energetic Direct Care Support staff in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This entry-level, part-time role involves helping individuals with disabilities to live more independently by assisting with daily tasks, meal prep, personal care, and community outings. You will participate in activities, crafts, and outings while maintaining a clean, safe living environment for clients.

Qualifications

• Entry-level Direct Care position, no prior experience required.
• Part-time shifts available: mornings, swings, afternoons and graves.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with meals and basic hygiene (including toileting, showering, changing briefs).
• Encourage clients to make healthy menu choices and support their right to choices.
• Take clients into the community, attend events with them, and prepare crafts and activities.
• Ensure living areas and surroundings are clean, safe, and sanitary, including housekeeping and laundry.

Starting rate increased to $16.00 per hour!!! If you are a compassionate, caring, energetic creative, fun individual that enjoys helping individuals with disabilities achieve their greatest potential, Futures Through Choices has open position for a Direct Care Support staff.

The Direct Care staff provides the following services to our clients:

Helping the clients to become as self-sufficient as they are physically and mentally able. This may include: helping the client prepare meals, assisting them to perform hygiene needs (includes toileting, showering and changing briefs when needed).

Helping the clients make the best choices for themselves. For example, helping the client choose healthy menus. While at the same time promoting the clients right to make choices.

You will be taking the clients out into the community, attending events with them, preparing crafts and other appropriate activities for the clients.

In addition, the team is responsible for making sure the living area, including all contents and the surrounding areas are in a safe and sanitary condition. This includes but isn't limited to: basic housekeeping and laundry.

All of these opportunities allow our clients to achieve a greater level of independent living.

This is an entry level, part time position and pays $16.00 per hour. We have the following shifts available: mornings, swings, afternoons and graves
