Lifesteps, Inc. in Castle Shannon is seeking a Full-Time Community Homes (Direct Care) Supervisor to oversee daily operations of our community homes, ensuring safety, dignity, and independence for residents.

The role involves supervising staff, coordinating shifts, and delivering high-quality direct care with a rotating two-week schedule and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Three years’ experience working in a human service or related field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; willingness to obtain Medication Administration Certification and First Aid/CPR within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Community Home.
• Supervise house staff and ensure quality care.
• Support individuals to learn independence and community living while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Coordinate staff schedules and ensure a safe, supportive home environment.

Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Community Homes(Direct Care) Supervisor in the Castle Shannon area.

Position Summary:

The Supervisor provides a high level of quality care to individuals while ensuring that each individual is treated with respect and dignity. Improves the quality of life for each individual by assisting them in learning to live and function as independently as possible in their home and community. In addition, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and handling the day-to-day activities of the Community Home. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of all house staff. The Supervisor functions as a Residential Companion and is part of the direct care team.

This full-time position works a two week rotating schedule of:

Week 1

7am to 3pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

7am to 11pm Saturday

Week 2

7am to 3pm Sunday through Thursday

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years’ experience working in a human service or related field
• Current driver’s license
• Obtain a Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire
• First Aid/CPR certified within 6 months of hire

Preferred:

• Associate Degree or equivalent credits (60) and 2 years of experience working in a human service, Special Education or related field
• Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year experience working in a human service or related field
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of 6400, 6500, and/or 2380 regulations (or equivalent regulations).
