Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years’ experience in a human service or related field.
• Current driver’s license.
• Obtain a Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire.
• First Aid/CPR certified within 6 months of hire.
• Associate Degree or 60 credits and 2 years’ experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of the Community Home.
• Direct supervision of all house staff.
• Serve as a Residential Companion within the direct care team.
• Work a rotating two-week schedule.

Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Community Homes(Direct Care) Supervisor in the Castle Shannon area

Position Summary:

The Supervisor provides a high level of quality care to individuals while ensuring that each individual is treated with respect and dignity. Improves the quality of life for each individual by assisting them in learning to live and function as independently as possible in their home and community. In addition, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and handling the day-to-day activities of the Community Home. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of all house staff. The Supervisor functions as a Residential Companion and is part of the direct care team.

This full-time position works a two week rotating schedule of:

Week 1

7am to 3pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

7am to 11pm Saturday

Week 2

7am to 3pm Sunday through Thursday

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years’ experience working in a human service or related field
• Current driver’s license
• Obtain a Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire
• First Aid/CPR certified within 6 months of hire

Preferred:

• Associate Degree or equivalent credits (60) and 2 years of experience working in a human service, Special Education or related field
• Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year experience working in a human service or related field
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of 6400, 6500, and/or 2380 regulations (or equivalent regulations).
