Job summary

New Beginnings Residential T.F. in Riverside, CA seeks a Youth Direct Care Staff to support teens in a residential program, promoting safety, daily living skills, and emotional well-being.

Qualifications: one year of full-time direct care or volunteer experience in a group home or related setting, or relevant life experience in child welfare, mental health, or juvenile justice; or a BA/BS; or 12 college units in ECE or Psychology.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience in youth care or relevant life experience as determined by the department
• Bachelor degree or 12 college units in ECE/Psychology provide qualification paths

Education

Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree

Completed 12-semester units of Early Childhood Education or Psychology

Youth Direct Care Staff shall meet one of the following qualifications

• Previously been employed as a full-time staff or served as a volunteer at a group home, short-term residential therapeutic program, or substance abuse treatment program for at least one year or
• Relevant life experience in the child welfare, mental health, and juvenile justice systems as a consumer, mentor, caregiver, or other relevant experience as determined by the department or
• Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree
• Completed 12-semester units of Early Childhood Education or Psychology

Graveyard hours:
Monday - Friday 10pm - 9am
Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) 9pm - 9am
