Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated Direct Care staff to join our team. The role involves enhancing and protecting children’s health, safety, and well-being, and ensuring all duties are carried out to achieve programmatic goals.

Responsibilities

1. Participate in professional development activities.
2. Be responsible for knowing the children assigned to you daily.
3. Monitor and be accountable for each child’s ongoing activities.
4. Provide supervision necessary to ensure safety, including auditory and visual awareness.
5. Intervene when necessary to maintain safety.
6. Understand each child's individual differences and abilities.
7. Recognize and support each child’s physical, mental, emotional, and social needs.
8. Cultivate developmentally appropriate independence through planned, flexible activities.
9. Share relevant information about each child's activities and needs with incoming caregivers and parents.
10. Implement and follow individual service plans.
11. Maintain daily progress notes, signing and dating each entry.
12. Keep accurate documentation.
13. Supervise residents at all times.
14. Prepare meals and snacks.
15. Perform light housekeeping activities.
16. Dispense medication as needed.
17. Provide companionship and emotional support.
18. Assist with errands and shopping.

Qualifications

1. Previous experience as a Caregiver with at-risk youths in an RTC setting is preferred.

3. Knowledge of basic housekeeping and cooking skills.
4. Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Must be 21 years or older.
