Job summary

Sevita is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join REM Community Services in Brandon, MS. You will assist individuals with personal needs and help them participate in community activities, promoting independence and growth.

You’ll work with a mission-driven team, receiving full benefits and opportunities for development as you support participants in achieving personal goals and meaningful daily lives.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt, multi-task, and work in a team environment.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and support those with behavioral challenges.
• Help participants pursue community involvement and preferred activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with individuals served and take initiative to act in their best interest.
