Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, offers community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will join a mission-driven team and build relationships that motivate everyone daily.

We provide competitive pay at $17.46 per hour with full-time and part-time opportunities, a comprehensive benefits package, and growth through training and development. You’ll be supported by supervisors who care about participants and your wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care or care coordination preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with participants, family members and supervisors.
• Demonstrates patience, empathy and reliability.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support participants in achieving developmental goals like budgeting, exercise and nutrition.
• Help participants participate in community activities and social engagement.
• Develop meaningful relationships and advocate for participants' needs.
• Monitor and document participant progress and report changes to supervisors.
