Job summary

Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. is seeking compassionate Direct Care Specialists for part-time positions at Group Homes Hemlock & Austrian Court in Florida. You will assist residents with daily living activities, personal care, transportation, and community outings according to individualized support plans.

Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends. Training provided; you will document care using electronic systems, monitor health and safety, and work with a team to promote

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean record.
• 1 year of experience in a medical, psychiatric, nursing home, childcare, or developmental disability setting.
• Ability to pass State background screening requirements.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living including grooming, bathing, meal preparation, housekeeping, grocery shopping, cooking, and money management.
• Support individuals in achieving goals outlined in their Support Plan and Implementation Plan.
• Promote independence, dignity, and community inclusion.
• Plan and participate in recreational and community activities.
• Administer medications and complete required medication documentation.
• Complete incident reports and communicate concerns to supervisors.
