Job summary

Sentara Albemarle Regional Medical Center, LLC in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for first shift. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care from admission through discharge.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient status, documenting care, and adhering to evidence-based protocols to promote safety and quality.

Qualifications

• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire for Critical Care/ICU.
• PALS within 90 days of hire for Inpatient Pediatrics.
• ONS/ONCC or Sentara chemotherapy & biotherapy provider card within 6 months of hire.
• NRP within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and design individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments and evaluate patient responses.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and documentation per regulatory standards.

Emergency Care - ACLS & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire. Oncology Care - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Women’s Care - Perinatal departments; Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) within 6 months of hire. Inpatient Pediatrics - PALS within 90 days of hire.We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $38.01 - $55.42 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
