Job summary

Fulton State Hospital in Missouri is seeking staff to provide direct care, treatment, and security for forensic psychiatric and sex offender clients in a minimum security setting. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining client records.

You will work 12-hour rotating shifts (day or night) and collaborate with a compassionate team to support recovery and safety in a mental health care environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older to work in Minimum Security Units.
• Ability to work day or night 12 hour rotating shifts.
• Knowledge of general care and treatment of patients, including basic nursing and first aid.
• Ability to work with clients with physical or mental illness and older populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, treatment, and/or security of forensic psychiatric and/or sex offender clients in minimum security areas.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Check vital signs, height, and weight as assigned.
• Collect and maintain records of fluid intake and output.
• Report on the condition of clients.
• May perform internal environment of care checks or security-related functions in a mental health care setting.
