Job summary

Sweetwater Care in the Phoenix area is hiring Direct Care Workers to support individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living tasks, provide companionship, and help implement personalized care plans in a compassionate team setting.

Ideal candidates have caregiving experience, reliable transportation, a valid Arizona driver’s license, and up-to-date CPR/First Aid. We offer flexible scheduling, competitive pay of $17–$21 per hour, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills and ability to connect with clients personally.
Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
At least 1 year of caregiver experience or similar role.
Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card or ability to obtain.
CPR / First Aid certification; Article 9 training noted.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene and meal preparation.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
Implement individualized care plans/goals tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
Monitor behavior and daily activities.
Light housekeeping.
Transportation to appointments and errands.
Accompany members on recreational activities.
