Job summary

COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITY CENTER NON- PROFIT HOUSING CORPORATION is seeking a Direct Care Professional to support individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and community integration in Michigan.

You will follow COC policies, provide instruction in areas such as self-sufficiency, nutrition, meals, health, employment, and transportation, and work a schedule including weekends and varied shifts. Strong communication and physical capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a valid Michigan driver's license and maintain the ability to be insured by COC's insurance carrier.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
• Complete and maintain all required training.
• Be in good physical health with the capability of transferring and/or lifting persons who require physical assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assures that applicable COC Policies and Procedures are known and carried out in the home.
• Provides, or when appropriate, offers individuals supported by COC with instruction in the skill areas of:
