Job summary

Southeast Missouri Residential Services, a State of Missouri facility, seeks a dedicated Support Care Assistant in Poplar Bluff. You will provide one‑on‑one client care, assist with daily living activities, and help monitor vital signs. Training will cover medication assistance and safety protocols, with overtime as required.

Requirements include 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and background screening. A valid driver's license is needed to support transportation and care tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver license.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).
• Must pass background screening.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on, direct care to clients including observations, treatment, and monitoring.
• Direct care staff perform safety and security duties and habilitation activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, meals, medication assistance, transportation.
• Support individual or group activities in therapy, education, and rehabilitation.
• Develop or implement habilitation or treatment plans.
• Observe, report, and record changes in clients' condition and status.
• Pass medications after facility certification and maintain a safe environment.
• Work overtime as needed and meet scheduling requirements.
