Job summary

Lifesteps, a local human service agency in Harmarville, PA (near Pittsburgh), is hiring Direct Care Aides to support adults with disabilities in a residential home setting.

Full-time hours are available with overnight or 16-hour evening/overnight shifts; part-time hours and flexible scheduling are also offered. No experience is necessary, and paid training is provided. Benefits and ongoing support are included.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 200 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including dressing, meals, bathing, and transportation.
• Prepare and serve meals; clean living areas.
• Shop for groceries and supplies as needed.
• Provide personal care support such as grooming or bathing.
• Assist with medication administration as directed.
• Support community outings and recreational activities.

Lifesteps, a local, human service agency that has been in business for over 100 years, is hiring compassionate and caring staff to work with adults who have disabilities in a residential home setting in the Harmarville area of Pittsburgh, PA, 15238. This area is close to Allison Park and also Blawnox.

Direct Care Aides(Caregivers) assist special needs individuals with their activities of daily living and home care. The direct care aide provides assistance to adults with disabilities helping them with daily activities like dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transport to doctor appointments.

Duties can include:

• Cooking and serving meals
• Cleaning the house
• Shopping for groceries and supplies
• Personal care assistance like grooming or bathing
• Medication administration
• Community Outings and fun activities

Lifesteps offers steady, full-time hours! Available Shifts are: Overnights 11 pm to 7 am OR Evening/Overnight Combo working 16 hour shifts 3 pm to 7 am.

Part-time hours are also available with flexible scheduling to fit your needs. Great for additional income or a second job.

No experience necessary! Paid training provided!

Experienced home health aides, nurse’s aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals welcome!
