Job summary

Adult & Teen Challenge New England and New Jersey seeks compassionate caregivers to support students in a residential setting in Massachusetts. Responsibilities include care, prayer integration, enforcing rules, and safety supervision, with medication administration and logs.

Position requires CPR/First Aid, a valid driver’s license, and fingerprint clearance, plus HIPAA compliance and background checks. Nights and weekends are required; room/board may be available.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification or completing within first 7 days
• Valid driver’s license for at least 4 years with insurable driving record last 3 years
• Must attain Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Must pass CORI background check
• Must adhere to HIPAA and organizational confidentiality policies
• Minimum of 6 months child care experience
• Must be spiritually mature with strong character
• Willingness to pursue 20 hours of ongoing education as required by licensing
• No felonies or disqualifying charges for employment
• Willing to comply with all governmental and organizational standards

Responsibilities

• Provide care, shelter and a homelike atmosphere for students, following policy
• Enforce house/program rules and oversee student safety
• Administer medications and keep accurate medication logs
• Monitor student calls with family and document notes
• Oversee laundry, meals prep and food labeling/storage
• Maintain residence cleanliness and manage shift expenditures
• Write shift notes and maintain student files
• Be available for nights and weekend shifts
• Room and board may be available
