Job summary

Road To Responsibility, Inc. is seeking compassionate, team-oriented staff to support adults with developmental disabilities in a Day Habilitation setting.

You will provide 1:1 and group assistance, help individuals build communication and daily living skills, and collaborate with clinical teams to implement care plans. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and engagement, with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license on hire.
  • Willingness to complete trainings and background checks (CORI, etc.).
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and group support based on individualized service plans.
  • Help individuals develop skills in communication, self-care, and daily living.
  • Implement care plans developed by clinical teams (OT, PT, Speech, Nursing, Behavioral).
  • Track progress and complete clear, professional documentation.
  • Support community engagement, including transportation and activities.
  • Assist with hands-on care needs, including mobility and dietary support.
  • Deliver engaging in-person and virtual programming.
  • Collaborate with team members, families, and community partners.
  • Serve as a positive role model, promoting safe and respectful environments.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
  • Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
  • Tuberculosis screening within the previous 12 months.
Language Skills

Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
