Road To Responsibility, Inc. is seeking a Residential Support Specialist in Massachusetts to help individuals with developmental disabilities live safely and independently in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Support participation in community activities, appointments, and social events.
• Provide transportation as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized living environment.
• Complete daily documentation and shift reports.
• Administer medications following procedures and support behavioral plans when needed.

• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and development.

What You’ll Do

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or non-degreed persons with a minimum of one year direct experience in human services.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
• Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings, including medication administration.
• Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.

Language Skills

Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
