Chartwells K-12 at Union School District in San Jose, CA, seeks a dynamic Director of Dining Services to lead our food service team across nine schools, serving 5,700 students with passion and precision. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Services/Management/Hospitality/Nutrition or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of foodservice management experience.
• Experience with high-volume food production.
• Experience with P&L accountability or contract-managed services.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills.

Chartwells at Union School District in San Jose, CA, is on the hunt for a dynamic Director of Dining Services to lead our food service team across nine schools, serving 5,700 students with passion and precision. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving change and innovation, committed to growing our dining program to new heights. With a supportive team of 50+ hourly associates, you'll work day time hours (7am-4pm) in a Monday - Friday schedule ensuring compliance with NSLP guidelines and collaborating with our Executive Chef to elevate our dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire our team of up to 19 union frontline associates.

• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of a dining service operation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Services/Management/Hospitality/Nutrition/Culinay preferred or equivalent experience.**
• Five plus years of foodservice management experience.
• Strong knowledge of high-volume food production is preferred.
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
