Job summary

Atria Senior Living’s corporate Support Center in Louisville, KY seeks a Director, Care Technology & Engagement to lead strategy for care tech and resident engagement, translating business goals into scalable technology roadmaps.

You’ll partner across clinical, operational, IT, and vendor teams to deliver reliable, compliant solutions that improve resident outcomes and occupancy, while governing budgets, contracts, and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, healthcare, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare or senior living technology.
  • Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
  • Proven ability to manage outsourced technology vendors and cross-functional business partnerships.
  • Experience aligning technology capabilities with operational and clinical objectives.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in senior care technology.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, contracts, and KPIs for technology portfolios.
  • Preferred certifications: CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner), CSM (Certified Scrum Master), or equivalent agile leadership credential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the strategy for care technology and resident engagement solutions, translating business objectives into technology roadmaps and initiatives that enhance resident outcomes, operational excellence, and organizational growth.
  • Provide strategic oversight of care-related technology platforms, including medication management, point-of-care documentation, emergency response systems, resident engagement tools, and other applications critical to care delivery.
  • Serve as the primary business partner connecting operations, care leadership, IT, and external vendors to ensure technology investments align with organizational goals and user needs.
  • Lead business process reviews, workflow analysis, and requirements gathering efforts to identify opportunities.
  • Drive innovation through technology, identifying solutions that improve service delivery, optimize resources, increase resident satisfaction, and support occupancy and retention objectives.
  • Establish and manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, service agreements, performance management, and accountability through measurable outcomes and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure effective system integration, governance, and regulatory compliance across platforms while maintaining data security, privacy, interoperability, and adherence to HIPAA and applicable state regulations.
  • Develop and maintain governance processes for system configuration, release management, change control, and technology lifecycle management.
  • Lead technology implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives in partnership with project management and business stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.
  • Champion organizational change management and user adoption through effective communication, training, support, and continuous improvement programs that maximize technology value.
