The Director of Intake provides strategic and operational leadership for the hospital’s Admissions Department, ensuring effective access to care and clinical assessment services. This role oversees a team of specialists responsible for patient evaluations, level-of-care determinations, call management, crisis intervention, and coordination of admissions and referrals.

The Director of Intake collaborates closely with medical staff, nursing, administration, and external partners—including referral sources and payers to ensure efficient, patient-centered intake operations.

Qualifications
  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or related field, or active RN license in the state of Kentucky.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required. Prior experience in psychiatric patient care and understanding of mental illness is preferred.
  • Licensure: Active RN, LCSW, or LMFT license required (in the appropriate state of practice).
  • Additional Requirements: Must obtain CPI and CPR certification within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Hours: Primarily day shift, with occasional evening and weekend coverage as directed by the CEO.
