Job summary

Shepherd of the Hills Development LLC in Branson, MO is seeking a Dinner Theater Culinary Support to help keep the kitchen running smoothly. You will wash, chop, and measure ingredients, assist chefs, and ensure timely meal service during dinner shows.

You will also support beverage service, plate and serve food to guests, help reset the theater/dining space, and maintain sanitation across kitchen and service areas. Must be able to stand for long periods and pass a background check.

Position SummaryThe Dinner Theater Culinary Support will play a crucial role in ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently by preparing ingredients and supporting the culinary staff. The Dinner Theater Culinary Support will be responsible for washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and assisting chefs in daily food preparation tasks. This role also supports the beverage station (preparing and serving drinks), plates and serves food to guests, assists with clearing and bussing dishes, and helps prepare the theater/dining area ahead of shows, including transporting food between kitchen areas as needed.Essential FunctionsThe following duties are considered essential to this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and kitchen instructionsWash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables, fruits, and other food itemsMaintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area and kitchen stationsAssist chefs with food preparation tasks as needed to ensure timely meal serviceEnsure all food products meet quality and safety standards prior to useProperly store and label ingredients to maintain freshness and prevent contaminationDispose of kitchen waste responsibly and keep workspaces sanitized.Fill in and provide coverage across restaurant and dinner theater areas as assigned or directed by managers.Prepare beverages including lemonade, iced tea, and other drink items according to standard recipesFill cups with ice and beveragesServe beverages to guests in a timely, courteous mannerMaintain cleanliness and stock levels at the beverage station throughout servicePlate prepared food items according to portion and presentation standardsServe plated food to guests in a timely, courteous mannerCommunicate with kitchen and service staff to ensure orders are accurate and timed correctlyClear and scrape dishes from tables/theater promptly after guest service/showReturn dishes, glassware, and utensils to appropriate wash stationsAssist with resetting and preparing the theater/dining area ahead of shows, including tables, place settings, and general readiness of the spaceSafely operate and handle kitchen knives, slicers, and other food preparation equipmentPerform other duties assigned in support of the essential operations.Minimum QualificationsRequiredPrevious experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred.Must be 18 years oldBasic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.Current Food Handler Card/Certification required (or must be obtained within [X] days of hire, per state/local requirements).Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.Must successfully pass a criminal background check in accordance with company policy.Uniform/appearance standards.PreferredPrevious experience as a Server, cook, and or dishwasher within the restaurant industry is preferred.Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is an advantage.
