About Simplex Wellness

Simplex Wellness is looking to fill a cook position for a leading hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania.

Pay rate: $17 an hour

What You'll Do

• Ensure all food for patients' dinner is served safely and timely, following recipes and ingredient lists, and stored at proper temperatures.
• Clock in, wear full-approved uniform including hat or hair covering, and display ID badge.
• Inform the manager of any open cuts, sores, infections, or communicable diseases.
• Prepare tray line and salad bar, gather veggies, starches, and entrees for the next shift.
• Check warmers, label and date food, and prepare late trays as needed.
• Post-lunch, prepare entrees, starches, and veggies for the next shift.
• Assist in the café with grilling or cashiering, and maintain cleanliness of tables and floors.
• Finish salad bar and tray line prep downstairs, and after a break, complete all assigned prep work, check on the café, and clean work areas, labeling leftovers.
• Work some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Training provided; prior cook experience required.
• Healthcare environment experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Detail-oriented, confidential, professional.
• Responsible, able to work in a busy environment.
• English reading, writing, speaking skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, carry 20 pounds, and perform reaching, bending, squatting, lifting, and pulling safely.
• Reliable transportation.
• Pass background check and drug screen.
• Proof of COVID-19 and recent flu vaccinations required.
