Job summary

Kohler Co. is seeking a Dining Supervisor for Wisconsin Room, onsite in Kohler, WI. This part-time role covers weekends and weekdays from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with responsibilities spanning guest service, supervision of front of house, and collaboration with kitchen and service staff.

Ideal candidates will have Safe Serve certification, 3+ years in a restaurant, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

• Safe Serve Certified, 18 years or older when applicable.
• 3+ years’ experience in restaurant operations.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist management with daily administrative tasks.
• Greet guests and present menus, inform about specials and changes.
• Upsell food and beverages to guests using appropriate methods.
• Take orders and enter accurately into the POS system.
• Process payments and handle transactions.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas and side stations.
• Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee dining room flow and distribution of stations.
• Assist in answering guest inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
• Prepare drinks for service where applicable (18+ and licensed).
• Communicate product and service details to guests.
• Assist in stocking and maintaining par stock levels.
• Support other areas of the restaurant as needed.
• Perform servers, bartenders, and host/ess duties as required.

Dining Supervisor, Wisconsin Room

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Kohler, WI

Overview

The Dining Supervisor I provides support to the restaurant management team through a variety of administrative and operational tasks and oversight of front of house staff. Manage guest requests, complaints and questions and ensure that all aspects are communicated to the appropriate leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist management with daily administrative tasks.
• Accurately process all new hire and employee change paperwork in a timely manner.
• Greet guests and present them with the menu, informing them about daily specials and menu changes.
• Suggest food and beverages to guests using appropriate methods to upsell.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter accurately into the POS system.
• Process payment transactions.
• Clear and reset table settings and linens as needed.
• Communicate with guests and provide assistance with questions.
• Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Assist with food and beverage service according to the course of order.
• Respond promptly to guests with any additional requests.
• Prepare mixed drinks for service to customers as applicable (must be 18 or over and licensed).
• Understand and communicate products and services available at the resort.
• Assist with stocking and maintaining restaurant par stock levels and side station.
• Help other areas of the restaurant as needed.
• Assist with overseeing dining room flow and proper distribution of assigned stations.
• Create and execute special projects and assignments.
• Assist in answering telephone calls from guests.
• Perform the responsibilities of Servers, Bartenders, and Host/ess as needed.

This is a part-time position working weekends and weekdays. Hours vary between 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm.

Skills/Requirements

• Safe Serve Certified, as applicable. Must be 18 years old.
• 3+ years’ experience in restaurant.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
