Job summary

Healthcare Services Group Inc. is seeking a Dining Services Department Manager to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility in Stockton, CA. You will oversee food quality, inventory, safety, and customer service while ensuring adherence to menus and regulations.

The role requires a CDM/DSS or a Nutrition/Dietetics degree or an equivalent in food service management, plus supervisory experience. You will train staff, manage records, and collaborate with clients and administrators to

Qualifications

• CDM, DSS, or 4-year degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required.
• AS/BS in food service management or hospitality preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision preferred.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within the first 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the dining service program at a single site to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment.
• Train staff and conduct in-service sessions; cover roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from clients, occupants, and administrators to staff.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and proper cleaning procedures are followed.
• Represent HCSG positively through interactions with staff and clients.
• All other duties as assigned.
