Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is launching a Dining Services Manager in Training in Charlottesville, VA, a structured 16-week program designed to prepare you to manage dining services in a healthcare setting with hands-on and computer-based training.

The program offers on-the-job learning, certifications, and a pathway to supervisory responsibilities, with a pay rate of $22.00 to $24.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in dining services or hospitality preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM), Food Service Manager (FSM), Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM), and CDM,CFPP ( where required by state regulations ) certifications during the development program.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing dining services operations, including meal preparation, service, and quality control.
• Learn to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Participate in staff training, development, and scheduling.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area required.
