Job summary

White Oak Village in Washington state seeks a Dining Services Manager to lead the dining team in a senior living setting, delivering quality meals and exceptional service.

You will oversee meal preparation, maintain portion control, supervise staff, conduct coaching and performance feedback, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while modeling Mosaic’s core values in every interaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in dining services, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, budgeting, and cost control.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor dining services staff; recruit, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate performance.
• Oversee daily meal preparation, cooking, and plating for quality, portion control, and consistency; assist hands-on during peak times.

• Food Service Operations
• Oversee all aspects of daily meal preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure quality, portion control, and consistency.
• Assist hands-on in the kitchen as needed, including prepping, cooking, plating, and expediting meals during peak times.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary or dietary training preferred.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in dining services, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, budgeting, and cost control.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to lift 40-50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and senior living dietary requirements.
• Experience planning menus and coordinating special events.
