Job Summary

Summary: As a Dining Services Manager I, you will manage a team of food service professionals, oversee service in the main dining room and special functions, and help maintain interdepartmental relations aligned with the facility's operational plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Oversee dining services operations of a small to medium volume location.
  2. Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  3. Assist with profit and loss management and budgeting related to this account.
  4. Collaborate with the Chef and management team on menu creation and ensuring top-quality food.
  5. Manage food service activities, including quality, sanitation, infection control, and facility-related tasks.
  6. Support the rollout of new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
  7. Prepare quarterly reports for client presentation.
  8. Work with marketing and culinary departments to boost sales through innovations and food quality.
  9. Coordinate with culinary staff to ensure food programs align with company vision.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of food service supervisory or lead experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related fields.
  • Waitstaff and catering experience preferred.
  • General hospitality knowledge and interest in sustainability practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet skills.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
