Job summary

Givens Estates in Asheville, NC seeks a Full-Time Dining Services Hospitality Supervisor to support Independent Living dining venues. You will supervise front-of-house operations, uphold service standards, and coach staff to deliver resident‑focused hospitality.

The role requires 3+ years in hospitality, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A valid NC driver's license is also required to operate facility vehicles in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in hospitality or dining services, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
• Must be, as a minimum, graduated from an approved High School or have received the equivalent with completing a program to receive a GED.
• College degree preferred.
• Proficient in all functions of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with adult learning- including teaching, training, precepting, coaching, etc.
• Must have valid NC Drive License with clear driving record for use of facility vehicle

Responsibilities

• Help the ADCE-IL supervise all front-of-house operations for M+C, Terrene, Social Brew and catering services, but primarily focuses on Terrene while it is open
• Ensure venues are clean, welcoming, and maintained to the highest standards
• Coordinate front-of-house staff to ensure quality service is provided to residents; ensure standards of service are followed consistently
• Open and close venues, ensuring readiness and proper equipment function
• Address feedback from residents and team members as assigned via Kiosks, Community App, We Care Connect and other channels available to our residents
• Leading Dining tours as needed and participating in resident events with Life Enrichment
• Serve in various dining roles as needed including server, runner, or station specialist
• Create weekly schedules for approval by the ADCE-IL that are aligned with approved templates in the appropriate time as designated by the Scheduling SOP
• Screen, interview, hire and onboard new front-of-house team members with the Assistant Director of Culinary Experiences IL
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

The Dining Services Team at Givens Estates, a premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community, is hiring for a Full Time Dining Services Hospitality Supervisor to help support our Independent Living Team. The Hospitality Supervisor assists the Assistant Director of Culinary Experiences IL (ADCE-IL) and helps provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight for Front of House dining services within Independent Living dining venues at Givens Estates. Compensation: $24.00 - 27.00 per hour, based on experience, plus our comprehensive benefits package!
