Healthcare Services Group, Inc. in the Atlanta area seeks a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will oversee daily operations, ensuring quality and safety while coordinating with client managers and staff.

The role requires an associate degree or higher in food service management or hospitality, plus 2 years in quantity food production and supervision. CDM preferred; must obtain FPM and FSM/LTC-FSM within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality; coursework in food service or restaurant management preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred (or as required by state and county law).
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within 14 days of employment; FSM/LTC-FSM within 60 days.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning solutions, proper PPE use, and prompt equipment maintenance requests.
• Uphold infection control procedures and sanitary standards; maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Represent HCSG positively in interactions with supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
