Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated Director of Dining Service II at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI. You will advise and provide hands-on support in day-to-day operations and financial success of campus dining locations.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining quality and service, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Growth opportunities exist within Chartwells’ expanding campus dining programs.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of operational food service management experience.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality and cost controls.
• Proven leadership in supervising and developing staff.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Outstanding customer service and ability to maintain high standards.
• Experience in preparing and analysing financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold service and food quality.
• Maintain client and customer happiness by ensuring consistent quality and service.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and financial reports including food and labor costs.
• Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards for customers’ health.
• Foster client relationships to align programs with objectives and retention.
• Perform additional duties to support dining service operations.
