Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Dining Services Manager to oversee dining operations, ensuring adherence to Sunrise culinary programs and safety standards while delivering exceptional resident dining experiences.

You will lead the dining team, manage budgets, coordinate events, and partner with residents to gather feedback for continuous improvement in a collaborative, hospitality-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food preparation and service in alignment with Sunrise culinary programs
• Ensure accurate dietary modifications and proper portioning
• Manage food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory compliance
• Maintain inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
• Monitor food and labor budgets to meet financial goals
• Lead, hire, train, and coach dining team members
• Coordinate dining room flow and staffing for each meal
• Engage with residents for feedback and participate in Resident Council meetings
• Support special events and community marketing initiatives
