Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Simi Valley, CA, seeks a Dining Services Director to lead all dining operations, kitchen and front-of-house teams, and ensure culinary quality aligned with Sunrise standards. You will oversee dietary modifications, budgets, inventory, and vendor relations while engaging with residents and supporting events.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in related field, ServSafe certification, and 4–5 years supervisory hospitality or fine dining plus 5+ years volume cooking experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, or related field.
• 4–5 years supervisory hospitality or fine dining experience.
• 5+ years volume cooking experience or equivalent leadership experience.
• Current ServSafe certification.
• Experience managing food and labor budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all dining operations, including kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Oversee dietary modifications and regulatory compliance (HACCP, OSHA).
• Manage food, labor, and department budgets.
• Engage with residents for feedback and participate in Resident Council meetings.
• Support special events and community marketing initiatives.
• Supervise Dining Services Coordinators and/or Executive Chef (as applicable).
• Ensure accurate production, sanitation, and temperature records.
