Job summary

Elderwood Administrative Services in Vermont seeks a Dining Services Associate to support resident meals, ensure safety, and maintain clean kitchen areas. You will assist in meal preparation and delivery while following dietary orders and completing tray tickets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 16 years of age; employment certificate required where applicable.
  • Prior customer service experience preferred.
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Physical stamina to handle constant activity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of meals to residents according to department policies and assignments.
  • Adhere to residents’ diet orders, texture/consistency modifications, and menu preferences.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety regulations and standards of practice.
  • Serve meals to residents in dining areas as per seating charts and tray tickets.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of kitchen environment and equipment.
  • Actively participate in facility and department meetings and in-services.
  • Interact with residents and family members regarding meal service quality when appropriate.
  • Utilize electronic timekeeping systems as directed.
  • Maintain punctuality and work scheduled shifts reliably.
  • Follow facility dress code, including wearing name tag at all times.
  • Adhere to policies regarding use of electronic devices and company equipment.

  • Comply with Elderwood’s business code of conduct, HIPAA, and compliance policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Dining Services Associate – Position Overview
