Chartwells Higher Education is hiring an Assistant Dining Director to help lead the day-to-day dining operations at the UT Arlington residential dining hall. You will manage a team, develop staff, maintain client relations, and support profitability and financial goals.

In this salary leadership role, you will drive operations, supervise staff, and implement service improvements while ensuring costs are controlled and targets met.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen.
• Proficient computer skills and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food service operations on campus.
• Help maximize sales levels and profitability.
• Manage controllable costs (food, labor, paper, etc.).
• Ensure weekly purchase summaries and period-end estimates.
• Hire, orient, train, and develop staff with probation reviews.
• Conduct yearly staff performance appraisals.
• Promote skill development and training for all employees.
• Maintain strong client relationships.
• Train and develop associates; perform other duties as assigned.
