Job summary

Lanakila Pacific is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to support dining operations at the Hickam Hale Aina Dining Facility under the federal contract. You will follow Lanakila’s standards and serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and assist kitchen staff, with attention to safety and customer service.

The role requires reliability, ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, and compliance with background checks and base access requirements.

Qualifications

• TB clearance required.
• Criminal background check required.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.
• Child and Adult Protective Services checks required.
• Eligibility for military base access required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 months of vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain hot/cold serving stations; portion food; restock items; communicate with kitchen staff.
• Clean tables, dining areas, and service stations; restock service items; assist with desserts and food preparation.
• Operate dishwasher and clean pots and pans; maintain sanitation of dish areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, wash and maintain floors and surfaces; restock supplies.
• Assist government cooks in distributing prepared foods during meals.
• Set up tray lines with utensils, condiments, beverages, and food items.
• Serve meals at a rate of 100 patrons every 30 minutes; ensure temperatures and availability.
• Prepare coffee; wash, chop and portion various food items; maintain inventory rotation (FIFO).

Education
