Job summary

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is hiring a Dining Service Associate for a 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday–Friday shift in Lincoln, NE. As a key member of University Dining Services, you will perform kitchen duties, set up stations, run the dish machine, and build recipes following established processes.

This essential role may include weekend or evening shifts. Qualified applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a Safety and Sanitation test, and comply with background checks.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull up to 100lbs.
• Criminal History Background Check Required.

The Dining Associate is a key position within University Dining Services.

As a Dining Service Associate, you will perform tasks in multiple areas/functions within the Dining Center, such as:

• Perform kitchen duties; including ingredient and food preparation, inventory, cooking and assembling recipes
• Set up and tear down stations
• Dish machine operations
• Build recipes based on established processes, procedures, guidelines, and recipes

• Assist within other areas as needed and other duties assigned

This position is considered essential and may have weekend or evening shifts.
