Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Dining Service Associate position operates 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday in Lincoln, NE. You will perform kitchen duties, ingredient prep, inventory, and recipe assembly while ensuring food quality and safety standards.

Description of Work

The Dining Associate is a key position within University Dining Services. As a Dining Service Associate, you will perform tasks in multiple areas/functions within the Dining Center, such as:

• Perform kitchen duties; including ingredient and food preparation, inventory, cooking and assembling recipes


• Set up and tear down stations


• Dish machine operations


• Build recipes based on established processes, procedures, guidelines, and recipes


• Monitor food quality, food presentation, and control food waste


• Assist within other areas as needed and other duties assigned
