Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Dining Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests. You will take orders, provide courteous service, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food safety in a welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, up to two years of experience, and strong communication skills. Experience with health records and HR platforms is a plus; CPR/BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.
• Relevant state or county licensure preferred, with ability to obtain licensure if required by the state in which employed.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools including MS Office and health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, events, and resident functions.
• Promptly take food and beverage orders and deliver service courteously.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and follow food safety standards.
• Set and reset tables, clear dishes, and complete daily checklists.
• Assist with dining area cleaning and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Provide menu knowledge and communicate details to residents and guests.
• Support cost-control by mindful use of supplies and waste reduction.
• Communicate with residents and families to support wellbeing and satisfaction.
