Job summary

Hotel Saint Vincent in New Orleans seeks a energetic server to provide attentive, gracious service to guests in our dining rooms, seat guests according to preferences, and support a smooth operation.

This seasonal role requires stamina, ability to work evenings and weekends, and excellent hospitality. Qualifications

• Able to lift and carry items and work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to read menus and safety documents, and follow instructions.
• Excellent hospitality and friendliness with guests.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all guests with responsive, professional, and gracious service.
• Seat guests based on preferences and management directions.
• Balance guest flow and maximize dining room covers.
• Maintain tables, refill drinks, and ensure a clean dining area.
• Communicate essential information to management to address guest needs.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and support restaurant operations as needed.
• Ensure tables are impeccably set with utensils, glassware and plates.
• Clear and reset tables promptly for arriving guests.
• Serve as a communication bridge between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Monitor food preparation timing to ensure hot, timely service.
• Support waiters and kitchen staff in other duties as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
