Job summary

Houston Oaks is seeking a Service Assistant to support the dining team and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for Members and guests. You will help servers, keep the dining area clean, and assist with special requests to enhance the guest experience.

Responsibilities include setting tables, refilling beverages, bussing, and communicating guest needs to the team to maintain smooth service throughout shifts.

• Ability to carry heavy plates, trays and racks.

• May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Deliver service with care and attention, always prioritizing quality and the well-being of the Members.
• Assist servers in setting up tables for service, including setting silverware, glassware and linens.
• Refill water glasses and remove empty plates and glassware throughout the dining service.
• Deliver food and beverages to tables as directed by servers.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide prompt and attentive service.
• Bus tables promptly and efficiently after guests have finished dining.
• Transport bus tubs to the dishwashing area.
• Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and surrounding areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the dining room and service areas.
• Assist servers with tasks as needed, such as refilling condiment stations and assisting with special requests.
• Communicate any guest concerns or issues to the server or manager.
• Any other duties, as assigned.
