Meridian Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to actively manage dining room operations, staffing, accountability, and sanitation in accordance with health regulations. The role includes maintaining a positive physical and social environment for residents.

Qualified candidates typically have 2+ years in food service management, a compassionate approach to elder care, and strong communication with residents, families, staff, and the public.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant dining or food service management experience.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Formal training in food service management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience.
• Able to supervise dining services staff with independent judgment.
• Meet health requirements and pass a criminal background check.

Assist in maintaining a positive physical and social environment for residents.Relevant work experience (2+ years preferred).Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and the general public.Must be formally trained in food service management or the culinary arts or have equivalent experience in food service management or the culinary arts.Must be able to supervise dining services department employees using independent judgment and discretion.Must meet all health requirements and pass a criminal background check.Ensure work areas are clean, safe and orderly. Strictly adhere to procedures regarding infection control, food-borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety and sanitation, promptly addressing any transgression.Schedule and reschedule staff using independent judgment and exercising discretion when creating the schedule and making determinations regarding granting employee requests for time off or other modifications in work schedules.Responsible for tracking attendance and communicate to Director of Dining Services necessity for disciplinary action where appropriate.Perform hosting and serving duties as needed.Meridian Senior Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer
